Acne is a chronic inflammatory condition involving the following four factors. Most acne products only address one or two of these, while Blem-X is able to address all four in one formulation.
1. Over production of skin cells trapped in the pores
2. Increased oil production by sebaceous glands
3. Excess P.acnes bacteria present in the pores
4. Inflammation from bacterial assault on living cells
Key Ingredients
- Liquorice extract:
A potent anti-inflammatory and anti-irritant to reduce redness and calms sensitive skin. Liquorice extract helps to regulate the oil gland making it an ideal ingredient for acne and congested skin. Also helps to reduce the appearance of uneven skin tone and pigmentation.
- Manuka oil:
A potent antibacterial agent used for centuries in Maori tribes for wound healing.
- Lactic Acid (AHA):
A natural and biocompatible exfoliant for effective removal of epidermal dead skin cells, responsible for congestion.
- Salicylic Acid (BHA):
A beta hydroxy acid that works on the uppermost layer of the skin and within the pores. It is excellent for acne sufferers as it is able to exfoliate and remove dead cells and debris trapped in pores.
- Malic Acid (AHA):
A powerful antioxidant and humectant which has hydrating properties and leaves a protective, moisturising layer on the skin.
- Aloe Vera:
A powerful anti-inflammatory which helps calm acne lesions and skin irritation.
Directions
Apply your regular skincare regimen, then use a cotton tip to gently wipe over blemish. Apply product with the other end of the cotton tip directly to the target area.
