Natural tapioca starch, no rinse needed
Traditional dry shampoo uses talc (Talc) to absorb oil, but talc deposits naturally occur alongside asbestos, so long-term use carries a risk of inhaling asbestos contamination. Following several international cases, Clean Beauty brands switched to tapioca starch or corn starch instead. Abyssian maintains a strict no-talc policy.
Dry shampoo is only a temporary way to delay washing your hair, not a substitute for normal hair washing. We recommend using it no more than 2-3 times a week, and washing your hair normally that same night or the following day each time — otherwise powder residue can clog hair follicles and cause scalp problems.
